Today I have a guest blogger, and children’s boutique seller to share some tips with us about the busy Back to School selling season on eBay.
My name is Jenn and I’ve been an eBay addict for 8 years now – both buying and selling. I’ve learned so much from trial and error it’s just a natural thing to be able to share some secrets of my success. Many of us sell clothing on eBay or other auction sites during Back To School season. So, what to you do after the Back to School Rush!?

Today I have a guest blogger, and children’s boutique seller to share some tips with us about the busy Back to School selling season on eBay.

My name is Jenn and I’ve been an eBay addict for 8 years now – both buying and selling. I’ve learned so much from trial and error it’s just a natural thing to be able to share some secrets of my success. Many of us sell clothing on eBay or other auction sites during Back To School season. So, what to you do after the Back to School Rush!?

Shop of course! There’s plenty of Summer Clearance going on, especially at consignment shops. It’s taken me some time to learn the in’s and out’s of these stores, but here is a healthy nugget of advice worth its weight when you’re a penny pinching mom:

A question that is commonly asked when shopping for gently used clothing is what do you look for or how do you know when the deals are going to present themselves for a decent profit? Make sure you know the policies, payouts, best drop off days and especially when the sales are.

We are fortunate to have one very popular consignment shop the next town over. It’s actually one of the only remaining consignment shops in this area. The owner only accepts top brands – a big plus when you’re only looking for the best quality clothes. She also holds sales every season. Not only are the remaining items high end boutique and popular designer brands, they are already marked down considerably because they are second hand and still in excellent condition. Usually, they are 50% off of the already reduced price OR you can stuff a bag for $15! How is that for stocking up on inventory!

This is also a great way to stock up on clothes for your kids and then resell when they are outgrown. A great way to get clothing for pennies, and they can be sold online for the same price or more than they were purchased for! Recently, I found a complete Oilily set for my daughter for $15 and when I got it home I realized the pants were still NEW with tags and retail for $109! Can you say Cha-Ching! I’ve already sold a Baby Lulu Dress for a little more than I bought if for last season. It’s just amazing what can be done with a little searching.
