Contract Negotiation For Rondo Not Dead Yet

It was reported earlier in the week that contract negotiations between Rajon Rondo’s agent, Bill Duffy, and the Boston Celtics had stalled and were dead in the water.
Apparently, the negotiations are still afloat.
According to ESPN The Magazine, a contract extension for the lightening-quick point guard could still be reached before Saturday’s deadline.
Rajon Rondo currently makes $2 million per year playing for the Celtics, which pales in comparison to other starting point guard salaries around the NBA. Chris Bosh Injury Update – Hamstring

The Toronto Raptors and Chris Bosh are entering a pivotal season. Unfortunately for Bosh, his season isn’t off to the greatest of starts. The Raptors announced late in the week that Bosh will be forced to miss the beginning of training camp due to an injury to his left hamstring.
Originally, Bosh injured his hamstring while working out in his home state of Texas. When he got to Toronto, the pain came back. The Raptors have diagnosed him with a strained hamstring.

Chris Bosh: Deadbeat Dad?

The former girlfriend of Chris Bosh, who plays for the Toronto Raptors, is saying Bosh is a deadbeat dad. Bosh, in case you were wondering what an NBA job pays these days, makes $14.4 million a year.
Allison Mathis, the girlfriend in this ugly legal battle, says that Bosh planned to get hitched and even wanted her to get pregnant so bad he even paid for fertility treatments. But seven months into her pregnancy he decided to leave the relationship and stopped supporting Mathis.

Basketball: US “Redeem Team” Tops Greece

It was billed as the rematch, Greece having been the ones to defeat the 2006 USA men’s basketball team for the world championship. However, today’s game bore little resemblence to that earlier contest. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and the USA “Redeem Team” started stronger and only got better, besting the Greeks by a score of 92 to 69.Bryant and Chris Bosh led the scoring with 18 points each, followed by Dwayne Wade with 17 and James with 13 points.
