And around it goes … everyone keeps speculating about where LeBron James is going to end up next season. Will it be New York? Will it be Los Angeles? Or … will it be Miami?

Imagine LeBron James and Dwayne Wade on the same team...

The latest twist in the King James free agency story is that the execs over at the Miami Heat front office are scrambling to find a way to get him to Miami. Imagine Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron all in the same uniform. It’s almost as daunting of an image as LeBron and Kobe Bryant on the same team.

The thing of it is, it could happen. The players themselves have already discussed such possibilities. It basically comes down to LeBron himself. He’ll have the ability to go wherever he wants to go. And you better believe that whatever team he chooses will bend over backwards to get him. He could end up in any uniform. The options are endless and there’s no scenario that is out of the realm of possibility. All we can do is wait to see what happens.

Until then, speculating is just a means to an end.

Rajon Rondo is hoping that his contract extension with the Celtics soars to $65 million.

Rajon Rondo currently makes $2 million per year playing for the Celtics, which pales in comparison to other starting point guard salaries around the NBA. Though Rondo has had his share of off-court missteps, he definitely deserves a pay raise. He’s been solid for the Celtics, especially during their championship season, and he is considered to be one of the top-performing point guards in the league. To put it in perspective — Brandon Roy, who entered the NBA in 2006 along with Rondo, recently received a five-year, $80 million contract extension. Rondo is currently seeking a $55 million to $65 million extension.

If a deal can’t be reached, Rondo will become a free agent at the end of this season along with the likes of LeBron James, Ray Allen, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

The free agent class of 2010 may be the best yet. Who do you think will be the best free agent on the market?

I’ve got my money on LeBron.

Originally, Bosh injured his hamstring while working out in his home state of Texas. When he got to Toronto, the pain came back. The Raptors have diagnosed him with a strained hamstring.

Bosh can expect to be under the microscope this season due to his unrestricted free agent status next summer. Outside of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Bosh will be the biggest star available in the summer of 2010.

As for the Raptors, the team can’t afford to have a bad 2009-2010 NBA season because that will raise the chances of Bosh leaving after the campaign. To help return to the playoffs, the Raptors made many moves during the offseason including signing sought-after free agent Hedo Turkoglu.

Allison Mathis, the girlfriend in this ugly legal battle, says that Bosh planned to get hitched and even wanted her to get pregnant so bad he even paid for fertility treatments. But seven months into her pregnancy he decided to leave the relationship and stopped supporting Mathis.

Mathis also claims that Bosh’s daughter has only seen him twice, both times in hotel rooms when the Raptors were in town. At the first meeting, Bosh even Twittered about the experience, saying, “I’m on top of the world right now” and “I’ve seen the new light!”

Actually I think the “new light” is about to shine, what with a court battle and all.

Bosh’s camp is denying these charges. However, this could explain why his play has been up and down this past season.
