Top High School Player Xavier Henry Signs With Memphis

He said this morning that he wanted to play with his brother C.J., a 6-foot-4 guard who played three years of minor league baseball in the New York Yankees organization before transferring to Memphis to play basketball.
Xavier, a 6-7 forward from Putnam City High in Oklahoma City is the number one rated player in the ESPNU 100. He is currently out with a broken cheekbone he suffered in an automobile accident last month.

It must be great to be a two-sports star.
That certainly is the case for C.J. Henry.
Henry was a hot shot baseball player who signed a $1.6 million signing bonus out of high school to play for the New York Yankees. But it wasn’t to be as he suffered at the plate and suffered injuries, including vision problems that has either ended his career or put it on hold.
