The Guild’s ‘Do You Want To Date My Avatar’

It’s hard to be on the Internet these days and remain unaware of Felicia Day’s genius webseries The Guild, whose season three premieres web-wide on August 25. The cast of the series got together with Joss Whedon’s brother, Jed Whedon to create the following music video entitled “Do You Want to Date My Avatar.” It’s one of those things that you really don’t want to miss and that you’ll likely spend an hour or two forwarding to everyone you know (like me).

So without further ado, here’s Felicia Day and the rest of The Guild:

Plants vs. Zombies: The Music Video

Here at Play Girlz, we appreciate the weird and unusual. More than that, we appreciate zombies. Plants are pretty cool, too. So hearing that PopCap is developing a game called Plants vs. Zombies has been quite glee-inducing. But even more awesome – and bizarre – than a game about plants at war with zombies is a music video about plants at war with zombies. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a video featuring singing flowers and zombies.

Lost Planet 2: Official Trailer Released

The trailer for Lost Planet 2 was Capcom’s big Xbox Live Marketplace ta-da! revelation. But there was a bit of a hiccup when the trailer hit the American marketplace way before the European one. Confusion errupted.
So, long story short: Lost Planet 2 is coming! Even though the announcement didn’t have a very smooth unveiling.
Behold and enjoy:

Half-Life 2: Short Film

Prepare to be impressed. The following short film entitled ‘Escape from City 17′ is based on Half-Life 2 and was apparently created with a $500 budget, no script, and no crew.
Best fan movie ever made? Decide for yourself.
Escape from City 17 – Part One

For what they were working with, it’s pretty damn amazing.

[Video] BioWare Discusses Star Wars: The Old Republic

BioWare is resetting the Star Wars MMO with Star Wars: The Old Republic. For Star Wars fans this should be good news. After all, the last Star Wars MMO started out well and then … well, failed. Miserably. But it had a lot of promise before Sony broke it.
In this video, developers from BioWare discuss the upcoming MMO.

Are you excited about The Old Republic or should LucasArts leave well enough alone?

Video: When Halo 3 Meets Fallout 3

Making its way through the Internet cyberstreets is this video which combines the awesomness of Halo 3 with … well, the V.A.T.S. from Fallout 3. And well … it’s best to be seen, rather than explained. But the end result is undeniably fun to watch.

Godfather II Trailer

Electronic Arts is bringing the Godfather II to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 24 and they’ve released a trailer for your anticipation and enjoyment.

Is it the best mafia game ever? Probably not. But anything with the Godfather name attached to it has a lot of expectations tossed at it. I’m sure it will be a fine enough game. You get to throw guys through windows and that’s always cool.
It does seem to have a bit of a Sim City-type vibe to it though.
