Inkscape a Great Tool for non-graphic Artists

I am no graphic artist nor do I have the skills to do simple graphic designs but nonetheless, I want to be able to do more graphic editing than plain paint brush functionalities. Given that I am no graphics designer and would not be an amateur editor anytime soon, I do not want to spend money on heavyweight graphic applications like Adobe Photoshop.

BumpTop is a beautiful and stunning 3D overlay for computers running Windows which transforms your personal computer (desktop, laptop) to make it act like a real desk. I have been looking forward for the Google Wave release and I got a little frustrated when I missed to sign-up on the developer preview they offered before. Google Wave is said to be a collaborative platform and I am not only a big fan of Digital Collaboration; but it is my career.
