Conan More Supported Than Leno

This late night war is starting to get absolutely ridiculous.  In case you don’t know what’s going on, after Jay Leno left the Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien took over.  It was a transition that had been in the works for years but just before the switch, rumors started circulating about Leno not wanting to relinquish his seat.
Now, it’s been less than a year and NBC is making a huge mess of things.  They’ve canceled the variety show they had given Leno and now they want him to have some crappy half hour show at 11:35pm which would bump Conan to …read more

Jay Leno Returns to Late Night Television

Talk show host, Jay Leno will be returning to his previous slot on late night television with The Jay Leno Show and things are really changing on NBC.
The show will now be changed to run for half an hour on weeknights, beginning at 11:35pm, which is currently the time slot for The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.
This new change will push Conan back to a 12:05am start time, and his show will also become only half an hour long.
Leno’s show currently airs at 10pm ET and leads in to nightly newscasts on. However, Leno’s ratings are lower than some of …read more

Conan O’Brien Injury Video Revealed

Late last week, Conan O’Brien had an accident while filming a segment of the Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien with Teri Hatcher.  They were pretending to be in a race and, right at the finish line, he slipped, fell backwards and bumped his head.

While he got up afterwards and was talking, it quickly became clear that all was not well since he was forgetting things and seemed to be in a daze.
In the end, Conan was sent to the hospital and it was later determined that he had suffered a concussion but would be fine after resting for a few …read more

Conan O’Brien Still Ahead in Ratings

After taking over the Tonight Show from Jay Leno on June 1st, Conan O’Brien continues to lead in the ratings, proving that his advantage over rivals like David Letterman, was not the result of curious viewers tuning in for Conan’s first week.
According to Variety, Conan won the ratings race for his first 13 nights in the 18-49 demographic and averaged 2.013 million viewers.  Compared the the 1.126 million who tuned in to Letterman, the margin of victory is the largest NBC has seen in the five-plus years since the frame of the Friends finale in May 2004.
However, Letterm did enjoy …read more

Conan O’Brien Talks About “Tonight Show”

Conan O’Brien is set to take over NBC’s The Tonight Show on June 1, 2009 and I’m pretty excited. I’ve been a fan of his since his humble beginnings as a late-night talk show host but I have often wondered how we would make the transition to the earlier time-slot since, I’m guessing, he would be expected to be more subdued than he has been. I got a better idea of what to expect from reading an article on ETOnline.
“Ryan Seacrest and I are lovers, so that just makes sense. That is around. The Post, I think, Page …read more

US Gymnast, Nastia Liukin is still making the rounds of the talk show programs. On Monday, she appeared on Conan O’Brien’s show. Liukin is charming, but the highlight is the clip of former coach Bela Karloyi watching her Gold-Medal-winning floor exercise performance. Take a look:
