Conservative Voters Choose Former Governor Over Scarecrow, Cheap Dickensian Bedding and Snappy Hat that Banjo Players Wear
Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney was the clear favorite at the The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
The Republican ex-governor finished ahead of an overstuffed scarecrow, a bale of hay and the headgear from a barbershop quartet in this year’s straw poll.
In addition, Romney beat out newly-minted GOP celebrities Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal by being the only candidate who could string together a complete sentence above a third-grade level.
