New YouTube For Television Works With Your Wii

I use the Opera browser on my Wii to watch YouTube videos on the TV, occasionally. The real pain is navigating the YouTube site and the video quality sucks too. A new service called YouTube for Television hopes to address my woes. The new gig will work with Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 to allow easy navigation, larger text and smooth selection of YouTube videos using only your remote control (not the Wii remote).
This service will blast 22 countries in 12 different languages with a tagline “YouTube on any screen, any time.”
Another reason to buy a Wii.

Play Wii Fit With An Akihabara Maid, Just Love It!

Playing Wii Fit by yourself, alone, may be quite lonely. Why not get a Wii Fit companion who dresses up like a maid to help you build your body and relax your mind at the same time?
A maid-themed store in Akihabara, Japan, called the Refresh Club allows otakus, salaymen and curious customers to engage a maid of their choice to watch DVD, clean their ears or conquer the Wii Fit.
A 30-minute consultation with your kawaii maid costs 2600 yen ($28) but having that special someone cheering you up when you are jumping up and down to catch some fish just …read more

Order Your Food Via Your Wii, Japan Yummy Food Delivery Channel

Without food, we’ll die. Without Wii, we’ll die too. If we can eat before, during and after some Wii playing, we’ll assured that we can live very, very long. And our wish is granted.
The new year will see the Wii adding a Food Delivery Channel in Japan to let Wii owners order some really yummy food via their Wii consoles. Demae-can.com, an online food ordering service, can be accessed through the channel to bring you authentic sushi, pizza, fried rice, Chinese food and other exotic cuisine.
Using your Wii remote, you can choose your food easily while listening to great background …read more

Mario Kart Wii RC Set, Matchboxes Showdown

If you are always on the losing end in Mario Kart Wii races, maybe you are able to make a comeback with these non-virtual, matchbox-sized RC Mario Karts which are endorsed by Nintendo. A set even comes with 1 banana, 1 shell shock and a couple of spare tires. Mario, Luigi, Koopa and Yoshi are lining up to do your bidding. Is a pity the makers have forgotten about Princess Peach but we are contented to hold real Mario Kart Wii matches with these male racers in our office. $24 for a set.
