I use the Opera browser on my Wii to watch YouTube videos on the TV, occasionally. The real pain is navigating the YouTube site and the video quality sucks too. A new service called YouTube for Television hopes to address my woes. The new gig will work with Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 to allow easy navigation, larger text and smooth selection of YouTube videos using only your remote control (not the Wii remote).
This service will blast 22 countries in 12 different languages with a tagline “YouTube on any screen, any time.”
Another reason to buy a Wii.

The Umbrella Corporation may be a fictional bioengineering pharmaceutical company in Resident Evil series but its umbrella is real and can be used. Red and white alternating panels give you the recognition as the company’s once employee. You should count yourself lucky that you have not turned into a zombie yet. $14.99 for a rainy day.

If you are always on the losing end in Mario Kart Wii races, maybe you are able to make a comeback with these non-virtual, matchbox-sized RC Mario Karts which are endorsed by Nintendo. A set even comes with 1 banana, 1 shell shock and a couple of spare tires. Mario, Luigi, Koopa and Yoshi are lining up to do your bidding. Is a pity the makers have forgotten about Princess Peach but we are contented to hold real Mario Kart Wii matches with these male racers in our office. $24 for a set.

Not only will the company be releasing a new sequel to the ever-popular Wii Sports, but they will also be showering us with some exciting new goodies.

Not only will the company be releasing a new sequel to the ever-popular Wii Sports, but they will also be showering us with some exciting new goodies.

The first of these is the new Wii Motion Plus, a nifty device intended to improve the Wii Remote and make it ultra sensitive to the player’s movements. This device will come bundled up with Wii Sports Resort which should be out sometime around Spring 2009. So still a bit to go.

Next in the list of spiffy new stuff is the WiiSpeak microphone, which will allow Wii players to chat over the Internet. The mic will launch alongside Animal Crossing, which will work beautifully with the WiiSpeak mic.

And if that’s not enough, Nintendo has also announced Wii Music, a new title that will allow Wii users the ability to not only play songs but also compose their own music. The game will simulate up to 60 different instruments.

Lots of good stuff coming our way from Nintendo!
