Why You Shouldn’t Neglect Any Muscle Groups

When entering in a exercise program, it’s ok to focus on a particular muscle group but you never want to neglect any facet of your fitness, whether it be legs, arms, cardio, chest, or whatever the group is. Even if you aren’t concerned with a particular area, just stay par with your workouts. Ignoring any one part of your body will eventually come back to haunt you in more than one ways.
You will suffer a strength imbalance.
Your body will look disproportional.
You will try to compensate for other muscle groups which could injure you.

Resistance Training Without Weights

Resistance training is not only limited to dumbells and iron plates. You can also use bands, your body weight, or a medicine ball to grow stronger. In today’s workout I integrated every form of resistance training except for bands to create an exceptional workout.
As you know, I’ve been focusing on building better balance in my legs lately. This is paying off. Just by putting shorts on, I can already tell my balance is much better than before. My Running Practice

I know I write a lot about yoga. But I also love running, and yoga actually is helping me increase my productivity on the road. I used to run long distance before getting into my practice. I loved it. It was relaxing, gave me time to think, and reduced stress, too. What it also did, I found, was make me a little less flexible. And, on occasion, I would even find myself hobbled and sidelined.

Why Meditation is So Important

The benefits of yoga are fairly simple to calculate and see. You become more flexible. You feel stronger. You have improved balance and coordination. You breathe easier.
Because we are employing our minds to do all of the work, sometimes the benefits are not immediately noticeable. The benefits are extraordinary, however. A stronger sense of peace. An improved sense of ourselves and our impact. And utimately, a fuller awareness of ourselves, others and the world around us. Increasing our awareness–our ability to exist in the here and now–is probably the most important aspect of meditation. At least in my view.

Ok. Here is a statement that I will neither confirm nor deny–yoga makes sex hotter.
Not terribly surprising, since it helps us all get in touch with our bodies and our minds, sex is another facet of our lives where yoga can really help “flip the switch.”
I have to admit, it’s not the reason I got interested in yoga, but it seems like an excellent reason to for me to keep pushing my practice.
