Print, digital, digital, print… advertisers might have a hard time coming to terms with where to place their message these days, but one thing that remains is the classic billboard.
I recently stumbled upon this advert for a paint company called Berger Paints and was terribly impressed by the creativity involved. It reminds me a bit of another cut-out inspired billboard that had me stopped in the street, except rather than be impressed I was downright confused (and cannot now, for the life of me, remember what brand it was). Berger Paints on the other hand, did this one correctly.

Creative & Out-of-the-Box Advertising Tactics

I read a great post on Small Business Branding this past week by Ed Roach that listed five relatively new forms of advertising that could be described as anything from unusual to downright bizarre. Here’s a recap of Ed’s list:
Bumvertising – ad placement dollars + homeless person’s sign = increased sales. Whether this tactic is politically correct or not and whether or not it works remains to be seen.
Adversiting Tattoos through Lease Your Body – nothing makes a statement better than a tattoo on a person’s forehead or so we’re lead to believe.
