Venture capitalists still giving in weak economy

Fortune Small Business just featured a story on how small businesses aren’t feeling the credit crunch.
But what I found interesting in the story is it said that venture capitalist are still willing to invest, despite how other lenders are feeling.
If true, this is great news for start ups looking for some funds to ramp up their businesses.

Small Business Owners Upbeat About the Economy

Last week, a survey released by PNC Bank said that small business owners don’t expect the recent credit crunch and housing market downturn to effect keep their businesses running.
Nine out of 10 business owners said credit is available or easier to get than three months ago. Only about one in four businesses said they expected lower housing prices would impact their sales and profits. About nine in 10 businesses said they expect sales to be the same or better in the next six months — a portion unchanged from a similar survey last spring.
