Tigers GM admits dealing for Edgar Renteria a ‘mistake’

Detroit Tigers General Manager Dave Dombrowski has finally admitted it was a mistake trading away young right-hander Jair Jurrjens in exchange for shortstop Edgar Renteria. I was really hoping he would actually admit it was a mistake and he finally did just that.
Jurrjens was a budding starting pitcher in the Tigers organization and when the team (and fans) smelled a hint of another winning season on the horizon, Dombrowski decided to clear out the farm system to acquire some veteran players. Dontrelle to save the day?

Don’t worry Detroit Tigers fans… Dontrelle Willis is going to save the day! Wait, are we talking about the current version of Willis or the 2005 version that went 22-10? Unfortunately for Tigers fans, it is the current beat up version of Willis.
Willis did recently post his best rehabilitation stint to date, however, in that outing he walked four batters, allowed one run and five hits over six innings of work.
