Mike D’Antoni has to still be a bit bitter about how he left the Phoenix Suns. After building the Suns up to championship contenders, he was let go for not being able to leading Phoenix all the way to the promised land. On Tuesday, D’Antoni — now with the New York Knicks — got revenge.
The Knicks came out on fire and smoked the Suns. Completely smoked ‘em. At the half, the Knicks had 71 points and ended up winning 126-99. The win improved the Knicks to 4-14, while the Suns dropped to 14-4.

Knicks, Lee Reach Agreement on One-Year Deal

David Lee was hoping to get a big payday this summer as he was coming off a career season where he led the league in double doubles and finished third in rebounding. But as a restricted free agent, teams steered clear of the 26-year-old forward, expecting the New York Knicks would match any contract offers. Throughout the summer, the New York brass and Lee’s agent, Mark Bartlestein, attempted to come to an agreement and explored sign-and-trade possibilities.

Knicks’ David Lee Close to One-Year Deal

David Lee of the New York Knicks was hoping to cash in this summer. However, due to his restricted free agent status, that is looking more and more unlikely. Instead, multiple reports have surfaced that Lee will sign a one-year contract with the Knicks.
As long as Lee plays well next season, this may actually end up being better for the power forward out of Florida. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent next summer and he will be one of the better free agents on the market in a summer in which many teams targetting.

David Lee Misses Game for Knicks

David Lee, arguably the best player on the New York Knicks, had to sit out a game for the first time this season on Saturday night. Without Lee, the Orlando Magic were able to beat the Knicks by a final score of 110-103.
On the season, Lee is averaging 16.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 35.5 minutes per game. He’s also shooting 55% from the field and 75.8% from the free throw line. His points, rebounds and assists represent career-highs for the 25-year-old out of the University of Florida.
