This is our dog Jackson, Jack for short, and Action Jackson as his full name. We decided we wanted to get a dog three years ago, almost to the day. We found Jack on PetFinder, at an SPCA in Kamloops. (Kamloops is about 3-4 hours away from Vancouver).

This is our dog Jackson, Jack for short, and Action Jackson as his full name. We decided we wanted to get a dog three years ago, almost to the day. We found Jack on PetFinder, at an SPCA in Kamloops. (Kamloops is about 3-4 hours away from Vancouver).

We put the application in, and it was approved the next morning. We were told there were only two puppies left (they had the entire litter) and that they could hold them for one day for us. We immediately took the next day off (thankfully it was a Friday) and took off for Kamloops.

I picked Jack up, and while his brother was leaping around our feet, and so very excited to see people – anyone – that he could barely stand still. Jack rested his head on my shoulder and cuddled in. My heart melted and that was that. I had my puppy.

We drove home that evening, and haven’t looked back since. Jack certainly does make things more fun around here, even if I frequently find Jackson-hair in my cocktails!
