I’m not about to deny that the Dragon Ball franchise hasn’t earned the ridicule it often receives. I mean, the manga is fantastic, but who the hell reads manga anymore, except uninteresting old bats like myself.

When most people think about Dragon Ball, they think about the anime, specifically Dragon Ball Z, and then they stick a finger down their throats. The bits and pieces we know about the movie have all proven to be terror-inducing, and now the name Dragon Ball makes people shove one finger down their throat and one up their ass. It’s a sign to ward off evil, they say, but my grandparents are from the old country and I never heard of anything like that.

Oh, and a game based on the Dragon Ball movie is coming. Not too many details are known at this point, but you can be assured that Piccolo will be at his whitest.

I’ve always been a fan of famous manga-ka Akira Toriyama so I find the trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit to be soothing in a head-busting sort of way.
