I’m both a little sad but also a little bit excited about the latest Drinks After Dark news. My lovely co-author, Rachel, has handed over the reins for this lovely site to me. Like I said, I’m sad to see her go, but on the other hand, I’m excited to take on Drinks after Dark all myself.
Rachel’s got her hands full at the moment keeping the b5media marketing ship sailing straight, and she’s doing a fantastic job.
I’ll miss Rachel, but I’m looking forward to the fun coming up here on Drinks After Dark!

Am I the only one who isn’t ready for it to be August 1st? Seriously. Where the hell did July go? (sigh)
Well, since it is August, and there’s nothing that I can do about it, I figure I may as well enjoy it and roll out the features and fun new things that I promised I would.

A year or two ago, I decided that if I wanted to do business with the big boys, I would need to learn to drink something a little more manly than a Cosmo. I knew that the businessmen that I envisioned myself sitting with, which for some reason, were oil barons in my mind’s eye, would be impressed by a woman ordering a scotch rocks.
