Mark your calendars for May 12th. That’s the date that the new “A-Rod book” comes out from Harper Collins. In the book, author Selena Roberts says Alex Rodriguez did steroids as far back as high school, and worse, that his coach at the time knew it.

The coach, Rich Hoffman, denies this.

One source says that the book, aptly titled A-Rod, “offers an unflattering portrait of the MVP slugger as a needy personality who wanted his ego stroked constantly.”

I doubt anyone cares about his big ego. Heck, we could figure that out by ourselves. The real issue is the use of steroids. I have to wonder if this is the only real revelation the book has. I’d like to think it has a lot more in it, but either way, I suppose we’ll find out in a couple of weeks.

Will you buy the A-Rod book?
