Stocks continue to struggle today on the stock market as Dubai remains a bit of an issue. Yesterday, the news broke that Dubai was experiencing some serious debt issues. Dubai World, which is a financial entity owned largely by the Dubai government, announced that it would be restructuring and that it would be stopping debt payments. This news has shaken world markets. In Asia and Europe, the markets were shaken yesterday. But with the Thanksgiving holiday, it appears that the U.S. reaction was delayed.

Third seed Andy Murray was forced to pull out of the Dubai Championships due to illness. He admitted that he has been hindered with an illness since the Australian Open.
Murray started to feel worse after he won the match against Arnaud Clement on Wednesday.
"I woke up in the middle of the night sweating," he said. "I went to the doctor and started taking antibiotics, but I have felt very tired all week. I have felt cold and shivery and had a sore throat, I feel that my temperature is up, and my body feels bad."

There’s nothing quite so refreshing as writing a blurb about tennis with your neighbor’s bass shaking your house…someday I’m going to stick it to those f-ers and I’m not going to feel one bit of remorse.
On a different note but equally sad and depressing is the loss of Justine Henin in the quarterfinals at Dubai. She was the defending champion but Francesca Schiavone said uh-huh, no way in a 7-6, 7-6 meeting. Henin had won 17 straight at Dubai.
I guess you gotta start losing somewhere, right?
