Bloody Shawn Michaels Takes Down Rated-RKO
Shawn Michaels came to Raw with revenge on his mind. He left Raw bloodied after exacting his revenge over two of the most hated WWE wrestlers: Edge and Randy Orton.
The action for the nights main event started early in the broadcast when Rated-RKO used “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan as an example first beating him up backstage then performing the con-chair-to on him infront of thousands of fans. Ric Flair responded by giving Shawn Michaels his support and backup. Rated-RKO’s response: another beat down, this time with Flair on the recieving end.
An obviously furious Michaels delivered sweet chin music to Todd Grisham …read more
Triple-H’s Surgery a Success
Triple-H’s surgery today confirmed the earlier diagnosis of a completely torn quadriceps tendon. WWE.com has a story stating the tendon was completely torn off of his bone and right knee. Dr. Andrews stated all went well with the surgery and that there were no complications.
With the injury set so sideline the Game for 4-6 weeks it will be interesting to watch and see just how WWE integrates this into RAW. I would expect them to either a) keep the DX storylines going without Triple H or b) suspend the DX pairing and have Shawn Michaels wrestle singles and in his …read more
Umaga Takes Out Anger On Cena
John Cena opened up RAW last night adressing just how tough Umaga was but that his win was not a ‘fluke’ as Umaga’s manager Armando Estrada had indicated. Cena indicated he was willing to challenge Umaga again for the championship on RAW until Johnathan Coachman appeared to announce RAW’s newest member, the Great Khali.
So it appears the rumors were true and Khali has indeed moved to RAW. Coachmen stated he was giving Umaga the night off because of his hard work at NYR and that Cena would face the Great Khali in a non-title match instead.
The match was bad for …read more
Monday Night RAW Preview
All WWE.com is reporting for tonight’s match is that ‘Donald Trump’ will be facing ‘Rosie O’Donnell’. Now we all know that this will be impersonators doing the actual action but this just seems so…dumb. Maybe WWE can prove me wrong on this one but I really don’t like the impersonator stories, especially when they are the only thing being hyped about tonight’s show.
ProWrestling.com has some other unconfirmed previews for tonights show as well. Here is what they are saying:
“Jeff Hardy will put his Intercontinental Title on the line on tonight’s show against Kenny Dykstra.
The Great Khali is expected to make …read more
Triple-H To Be Out 4-6 Months
WWE.com is reporting the game has tore one of four tendons in his right quadriceps. Dr. James Andrews delivered the news following an MRI performed earlier in the day. Surgery is set to be performed tomorrow after which Triple-H will undergo extensive rehap to heal and strengthen the tendon.
Dr. Ferdinand Rios stated he expects the game to need 4-6 months to rehab the injury. How will the WWE cope with the injury of one of DX’s two members? Tonight’s RAW should provide us some answers.
Triple-H Injury Update
As we reported last night, Tripe-H was injured during his match with Reated-RKO at New Year’s Revolution. WWE.com is reporting he has a possible quadriceps tear. News coming out of the arena last night indicated a knee or some other leg injury so this is in line with earlier reports. ‘The Game’ is going to be flown to Birmingham, Alabama today to be examined further by Dr. James Andrews to determine the extent of the injury and how long he way be out of action.
More information about the injury should be available later tonight.
New Year’s Revolution: Masters Wins (If You Cared…)
In what was perhaps the worst timed match of the entire evening Chris Masters beat Carlito 6 minutes in pinning him while using his tights. After the match he applied the master lock for extra measure. The match really lost everything it could have had by being put right between the DX match and the title bout between Cena and Umaga. Oh well.
Check back later for more results and a full recap of New Year’s Revolution.
New Year’s Revolution: No Decision Allows Rated-RKO to Retain
Not really sure what happened with this one but Rated-RKO retained after the match was a no decision. Triple-H landed the pedigree on Edge but the table didn’t break after which Shawn Michaels followed up with an elbow drop to break the table. Much like this weeks ECW the match was called a no decision due to injuries allowing Rated-RKO to keep their belts after nearly 22 minutes of action.
Update: WWE is reporting that Tripe-H was injured in the match which may have led to the no contest. Not sure if it was storyline or not because most injuries like …read more
New Years Revolution Preview
Tonight is the WWE New Years Revolution PPV and here is a preview of the matches set to go down tonight.
John Cena and Umaga will duke it out in what can be considered the main event. The championship bout will pit Umaga’s unbeaten streak in the WWE against Cena and his title. The match has been set for weeks and has been getting progressively hyped. Prediction: Look for Umaga’s streak to end and Cena to retain.
The ’secondary main event’ as I have come to call it will be D-Generation X against current Tag Team Champions Rated-RKO. Rated-RKO topped DX back …read more
