E-Waste, An Ever Growing Problem

Since it’s Earth Day, I thought I would take a break from showing you some cool electronic gadgets and perhaps make you aware of an ever growing problem in the environment from the electronics industry.
E-Waste (Electronic Waste) is becoming a huge problem throughout the world. We as American produce the most E-waste as we dispose of and attempt to recycle our outdated and obsolete electronics. Much of this out-dated product has toxic materials such as heavy metals like lead, Mercury, Cadmium and Hexavalent chromium.

I started this month as the new damn PC guy and ended it by buying a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 in one of the Black Friday deals though I wish I had won a PC in a giveaway.

Responsible Disposing of E-waste

E-waste recycling is a multi-billion dollar market today. We have fallen into the mindset of accepting that replacement is cheaper than repair, at least for electronic goods. That means, we get rid of our computer equipment more often than we used to. This is a difficult task mentally and environmentally.
