Hello all. I’m sorry I went away and left you all without entertainment. I’ve been experiencing some computer problems over the past 24 hours, but I’ve got that all sorted out. I have not abandoned you and this is nothing like the time my parents went to Disney World without me.

The Mother 3 fan translation is proceeding at a brisk pace. Lead translator Mato has released some video footage of the first chapter (free of major spoilers). As I watched it, I suddenly became aware of something very pleasant: holy crap, the sprite art in this game is heavenly.

No, really. Please do it. It’s a shame that you all feel the need to fly into Puritan rages over an RPG series known for its off-the-wall humour.

The other day I bleated praise for the Mother 3 fan translation project. As coincidence would have it, another substantial update has occurred, and with it comes a percentage projection.
From the project site:
“While I’m talking percentages, I should probably reiterate that the percentage you see in that pic there is for Draft 2 of the main script only. The actual project’s progress is much further along than that. I don’t like giving out arbitrary percentages, but if I had to give a number, I’d say the entire project itself is like 80% done. 85%? I dunno, somewhere around there.”
