Here We Go Again – More Category Changes on eBay
According to the eBay Announcement Board on September 25, we will experience more category changes. Clothing sellers will the thrilled to learn that CLOTHING, SHOES & ACCESSORIES will be undergoing some changes. Hopefully we will hear an update of how to bulk edit these items.
Some of the new clothing categories include:
Children’s Dresses – New categories added: Casual, Holiday, Special Occassion, Pageant, and Other (This is good for those of you selling pageant dresses, you will have a specific category now!)
Unisex Clothing – New categories added: Jeans, Pants, and Shorts; Robes and Sleepwear

eBay Specified Shipping Now Required
In case you missed the announcement, all eBay listings are required to show shipping fees. Your listing may not say, “Contact seller for details.” The shipping section may not be left blank.
This new policy exists for a few reasons. First, buyers should be informed of shipping fees. It is only fair. Second, sellers must offer full disclosure and show the shipping fee before the buyer bids.
eBay has provided a way to bulk edit your listings through Selling Manager and Turbo Lister. According to eBay:

Announcement: eBay Links Policy Remains the Same
Back in May, eBay announced that the links policy governing outgoing links on listings and other pages would change. Many eBay sellers were concerned and upset about this change and let their feelings be known to eBay execs at eBay Live in Chicago.
Most of the concern about this change revolves around affiliate programs and website links on eBay users’ About Me pages. eBay Policy Change – No More Outgoing Links on About Me Page
Add another item to the “Not allowed on eBay” list.
Historically, an eBay seller’s About Me Page has been a place where sellers can explain their policies, tell a little bit about their business, and until now, provide links to their own website or other affiliate programs. Those days are gone.
The updated eBay Links Policy states: “You may include links to your About Me page in your listings. However, you may not include language within those links that promotes items or other Web sites.”
