France Aims to Change GDP Calculations

The world economy has evolved to a point where the current GDP calculations do not accurately represent all of the factors that go into economic health, argues France. French president Nicolas Sarkozy posits that the current way of measuring GDP doesn’t take sustainability of an economy, or the economic well-being of individuals into account, and that this makes the current system flawed when it comes to measuring overall economic health.
