Manchester United’s Paul Scholes was sent off during the Red Devils’ 2-1 defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg last week in Mexico after receiving his second yellow card of the match, forcing a red card from the center referee. Scholes earned the boot from the contest after doing his best Diego Maradona impression on a cross into the box as he reached up with his hand and guided the ball past the keeper into the back of the net.

In case you were caught up watching Michael Phelps and the Olympics today, you might have missed (or forgot to watch) the opening games of the 2008-09 English Premier League season.
