Female Gamers Are Geekier

I couldn’t help but read an article about a study that claims that female gamers are geekier than their male counterparts. I don’t know why I find that surprising but I do.
Even more shocking? You are more likely to find an almost 40-year-old woman immersed in online role-playing games than you are a 14-year-old. Crazy!
About 7,000 EverQuest II players were included in the survey and they determined that the average age was 31, playing time was greater among older players and women logged in for four more hours of play than men (29 hours versus 25). The most hardcore …read more
Local Hellgate launch to answer questions about retail and payment scheme
I’ve recently been invited to the local Hellgate: London launch, which is going to take place sometime during December next month. If you’re a regular here, then you may be aware that I’m not a big Hellgate fan.
Why then am I going?
Aside from the prospect of free chow, I’ve been itching to go because I’m very curious as to how IP e-Games, a local MMO publisher, would handle the game’s retail and payment scheme.
