Did you notice it? That new little link in the footer of your Gmail message? You’ll only see it if you’ve got an Excel spreadsheet attached. There’s a quick link to open the document in Google Spreadsheets instead of just downloading it and opening it with Excel.
I just had a thought that I wonder if this might actually help promote Excel, rather than drive people to Google Spreadsheets. If you’re not using spreadsheets to frequently, then Google Spreadsheets may just be what you need, but I think if you even start to push further than the average user you’re going …read more

An Outlook 2007 beta tester is experiencing a problem or glitch with using Excel 2007.
Hi Jason,
We have a large Excel spreadsheet that we use 20K rows and 15 columns. When I try to do a custom sort it will not display the custom sort box. If I select a smaller portion of the spreadsheet the custom sort works perfectly. I have tried selecting the entire sheet as well as selecting all of the cells on the sheet by dragging the cursor to select them all. Neither one works.
