Is your dad still playing on that old Atari that he’s had since before you were born? Have you been thinking about what to get him for Father’s Day? SUNDAY is Father’s Day. You knew that…right?
Well, I’ve got a nice, happy list for you that would make any dad proud and all you have to do is shell out a bit of cash to make your pop’s day.
Systems:
#1 Sony PS3 160 GB Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Pack
This system is my all-time favorite and comes with a kick-ass game. With 160 GB worth of space, Dad won’t run into space issues when …read more
Fallout 3:Broken Steel Review Video

I ♥ Fallout 3. It is by far one of my favorite action-adventure/rpgs that’s out there right now.
It takes some great concepts of Oblivion and makes it more believable in the modern era.
One of the most anticipated add-ons to Fallout 3 is Broken Steel and one of the best features of the add-on is the raising of the levels cap of twenty to thirty. Though I haven’t gotten a chance to play this add-on yet, it looks like a definite addition to my list of must plays.
Silent Hill:Shattered Memories Set for Fall

The original Silent Hill was the first Silent Hill that I ever played.
Actually, I watched my boyfriend play the scary ass game while I randomly covered my eyes and generally acted like a scared little girl. In my defense, I was only 17 or so at the time so any “scared little girl” acting was pretty accurate.
There have been numerous other Silent Hill games released for numerous systems and Konami just announced a new game to be added to the “let’s scare the crap out of Amy” group.
Silent Hill:Shattered Memories is set to hit in the Fall of ‘09 and …read more
Steve III Might Be Getting a New Brain

I’ve been avoiding a hard drive upgrade like the plague but I think it’s finally time that I delve into the innerworkings of Steve III and give him a new hard drive.
I have a 20GB PS3 and have had NO issues with him up to this point. I don’t download a lot of online content so the only thing that Steve’s hard drive had to deal with were saved games. Once a game is beaten and sold, I delete the files as not to take up space that could be used for something else.
The thing that set me off today …read more
What Makes You Buy a Game?

When I buy a game, I always consider the game’s replay value.
If it’s a cut-and-dry RPG then I go into the purchase knowing that I’m probably not going to replay it and I just hope for a really long game. If it’s a FPS then there had better be some good on-line play going on.
Call of Duty:4 is a good cross between the two.
You have a great story when you play the game from start to finish AND you have a solid [and addictive] on-line component.
When I bought Fallout 3, I knew that it was made by the same …read more
A Controller Can Only Take So Much

I LOVE my PS3. So much so in fact that I named him-Steve III. Don’t ask…I name all of my gadgets.
Steve III is a 20GB PS3 that was purchased right after the PS3’s launch.
You definitely pay a premium when you buy cutting edge technology while it’s still “cutting edge” and we paid an arm and a leg for the thing. I don’t begrudge paying what we did since I wanted the PS3 NOW [well...then] but I think it’s funny that I can find a 120GB PS3 with a game for less than what I paid for my 2oGB system.
Alas, I …read more
What’s Up with the Ham Radios in Fallout 3?

I know I’m not the only one who has been chased wandered around the Wastelands and come across a couple of ham radios. [I know I'm not the only one since I rock at Google searches. Heh.]
I’ve never switched one on because I was scared that a Super Mutant was going to come out of the wood work and eat me. Some have speculated that a “special ending” is revealed if all of the ham radios are switched on. This idea has been debuncted numerous times.
You can’t destroy the things and you can only turn them off and on. What …read more
Fallout 3 Review
So, I finally managed to get my hands Bethesda’s new nuclear fallout game, Fallout 3 and all I can say is… what the hell? Okay… I actually have more than just “what the hell” to say. So, what’s my problem? The game… well, it’s strange. Especially for one being held as a RPG. The game is dark, sad, depressing, yet funny at the same time. How is this even possible?
First off, as many of you may recall, Bethesda is also the company who created one of the best RPGs EVER KNOWN TO MAN. And that game was Elder Scrolls IV: …read more
