“Family Guy” To Tackle Abortion

This past weekend at Comic-Con, Seth McFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, said that the show plans to talk about abortion even though the episode may not ever be aired. During his panel, McFarlane said: “Twentieth Century Fox, as always, allowed us to produce the episode and then said, ‘You know what? We’re scared to f–king death of this.’”
No real plot details were revealed so I guess we’ll have to wait until this fall to find out if it will be broadcast. If not, it will only make the buzz for next season’s DVD that much greater.

Family Guy: Volume 7 will be released tomorrow and will include the last four episodes from the sixth season along with the first nine shows from Season 7 of Seth MacFarlane’s animated series.
The three-disc set also contains special features including commentary on every episode, deleted scenes, and featurettes along with footage from Comic Con 2008.
The DVD sales for Family Guy show are incredible which is demonstrated by the fact that it was actually the first show to get canceled and then be put back on the air because the sales were so strong. I’m guessing Volume 7 won’t be …read more

Interesting announcement today regarding b5media’s new partnership with Fox and VIP Fan Clubs. The b5 Entertainment Channel is expanding.
As of today, we are partnering with VIP Fan Clubs to produce co-branded blogs for Fox Media’s TV shows. The initial test run is just 4 shows, but we are confident that the initial 4 will let us figure out the best way to cross-promote the blogs from both sides of this deal.
