Should the government bail you out like Freddie & Fannie?

There’s no question that these recent economic times have seen many small businesses and startups struggling.
With the government coming to the aid of the big guys, like Bear Stearns and Fannie Mae, I wondered if they shouldn’t be doing it for us too?
After all, about 85% of all business in the US are considered small businesses. Why should 15% get all the help?
