Browns Fans Already Calling For Brady Quinn?

Dallas Cowboys v Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns lost to the Dallas Cowboys 28-10 this past Sunday. I didn’t believe they had a shot of winning the game anyway but I did wonder at least a couple things:

  1. Why they kicked that field goal instead of trying to go for a touchdown on 4th down?
  2. Why Tony Romo got so much time in the pocket and didn’t start bleeding til the 2nd half?

And as you can see, one of those questions was NOT when is Brady Quinn going to play. But in reading WaitingForNextYear.com, a Browns fan was/is wondering that question. Hmm. I guess that happens. I’m sure a lot of franchises have fans who after watching their team not be able to do anything on defense demand for a quarterback change. Seems very common.

Mike Holmgren’s daughter booted from fantasy football league

Seattle Seahawks Training Camp

Apparently, if you are the daughter of a NFL head football coach, that is grounds to be removed from a fantasy football league. That’s just what happened to Mike Holmgren’s daughter, Calla.

Holmgren, who is the head coach for the Seattle Seahawks, admitted that he didn’t know much about fantasy football. But, according to the story, his daughter does.

It’s hard to believe that someone would have that much “inside information” as the story is claiming to be kicked out of a league. I would boot an odds maker, bookie or player before I would boot someone that is a daughter of a head football coach in the league.

But, Holmgren’s daughter won’t be winning her league this year. That is, unless she decides to go onto Yahoo or ESPN.com or FoxSports.com and play where no one knows her real identity. Plus - who would believe her if she told them anyway?

VIDEO - Darren McFadden vs. Jonathan Stewart

Ah yes… it’s almost time for some fantasy football drafts to take place. Soon, it will be your pick. Take a look at your draft sheet - it’s time for a running back. Which of these rookie backs do you want on your team; Darren McFadden or Jonathan Stewart?

For me, it’s an easy choice. I watch Run DMC tear it for three seasons for the Arkansas Razorbacks. In my opinion, McFadden has everything and more than last year’s rookie phenom Adrian Peterson. Sure, Stewart is probably going to have a passing game on his side to get defenses to back up, but did you ever see Arkansas’ offense under Houston Nutt? McFadden can handle eight or nine men in the box.

But if you need some time to chew it over, take a look at the video.

Summer Fun: Sports Spectacular

It’s the middle of July and the MLB All Star game is a few hours away. After that, the fun begins.

Baseball season gets more interesting. We find out who the contenders or pretenders are. Which category will Tampa Bay be in at the end of the season? Will the Cubs still be the best team in the league?

And then there will be Pre-season football. How much more Brett Favre - Green Bay Packers drama will ESPN hammer into our brains? How many Fantasy brackets will you fill out for the upcoming season?

And then my favorite comes back to me. COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Arguably the best reality series on television (Outside of March Madness. American Idol doesn’t even hold a candle to them). The drama, the controversies, the crazy fans. The jam-packed stadiums. The fight songs. The tailgating. Should I even go on?

So enjoy these great days of Summer. The first day of Fall is September 22nd. That’s a lot of great baseball, fantasy league drafts and football going on.
