There have been rumours that Felipe Massa was seen walking into Ferrari’s offices in Maranello Monday for the first time since being injured in a qualifying accident during the Hungarian Grand Prix in July. It must have felt good for him to come home to see his friends and team mates at Ferrari as he took part in the team activities for the first time in weeks.
The word is Felipe is hoping to return to a Formula One paddock for Match’s Bahrain Grand Prix, which will be the first race of the 2010 Formula One season.

Giancarlo Fisichella Moves to Ferrari

The landscape of Formula One racing will be changing a bit as Giancarlo Fisichella has asked for and received his release from his agreement with Force India on Thursday. Giancarlo will now suit up and get behind the wheel of a Ferrari for the remaining five races of the 2009 Formula One season. He’ll be replacing Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer as a stand-in for injured Felipe Massa in next weekend’s Italian Grand Prix and then will act as Ferrari’s reserve driver for the 2010 Formula One season. The 2009 Formula One season has been an up and down affair with its share of minor and major stories, but they’re all about to be passed by Michael Schumacher’s planned return to the Formula One arena in the upcoming European Grand Prix, in order to take the place of the injured Felipe Massa. Helmets are a bulky, heavy and hot and the only time your likely to miss one is when you really need it. We often only pay attention to helmets when they don’t do the job they were designed to do. You can bet that Felipe Massa is thanking his lucky helmet and maybe having it bronzed and put in his personal museum at home. Felipe Massa Feeling Better

Felipe Massa is feeling a little better after his high-speed crash in qualifying rounds for Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix being held at the Hungaroring. The Brazilian racer went off the track and into the wall on Turn 4 late in the second session after a rear damper spring came loose from the car of Ruben’s Barrichello in front of him and hit him on the helmet at over 200 mph. Medics were quick to get to the racer and get him on his way to the hospital for treatment and this may have been the difference between life and death …read more

The Formula One season pulls into the dust and heat of Bahrain this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir with the odds favoring the cars that run better in dry, hot and dusty conditions. The racers and teams will be glad to be heading to a race that shouldn’t be interrupted by the arrival of the chaotic weather patterns that made Shanghai an adventure.
