There were previous issues in terms of the allocation of debts incurred by Chrysler but FIAT has agreed to share in the burden.

Chrysler is hoping to gain ground in a partnership with Fiat by producing more fuel-efficient, eco-friendly cars. Fiat has the technology to move forward in this plan and are seemingly better equipped for the task. Chrysler now recognizes the importance of making cars that people will be proud of owning. So now they are just working on making these cars available to people who are still reluctant to buy amidst the failing economy.

Chrysler has now introduced their Buy With Confidence Guarantee. They are also planning on introducing three cars that will be made specifically for the eco-minded consumer. The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hybrid, Chrysler 200C Electric and Dodge Circuit Electric.

Super-Mini’s are now finding a market in North America. With the popularity of big Detroit cars on the low, lightweight European cars will find a market here. Like the Spider the new Alfa Romeo MiTo will soon prove to be a hit.

When people think Alfa Romeo, they think of the Spider that made the brand popular. Owned by Italian automaker Fiat (the same company trying to buy Chrysler) the MiTo combines the know how of mini-cars but room and comfort to appease any big American.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo will be available with either the 1.4L turbocharged 155hp, 1.8L JTDM 120hp, or 1.4L 78hp engines. Quite the range if you ask me. The turbocharged engine can reach top speed of 215km/h and go from 0-100km/h in just 8 seconds. By contrast, the 78hp engine can reach top speeds of 165km/h and go from 0-100km/h in 12.3 seconds. Still not too bad.

Another cool new feature on the MiTo is that it comes with a three mode D.N.A. selector. What it does is give you the option to chose between three driving modes. The modes tells the cars on-board computer to adjust the settings to steering responsiveness, braking stiffness, engine response and gear changing. This will be able to change the attitude of the car to suite any driving situation.
