Raven Squad is a FPS [first person shooter] meets RTS [real time strategy] meets badass mercenaries.
The game promises “dominantly story driven objectives”. So, from what I’ve read, they’re promising a FPS, RTS and RPG [role-playing game] all rolled into one game? That should be a hoot-if they can pull it off. Oh, and there’s multi-player.

Driving Pisses People Off. Shocker!

It’s not the first person shooters that piss people off, it’s the driving games.
That’s what Dr Simon Goodson and Sarah Pearson from Huddersfield University will be saying in their presentation tomorrow [tomorrow for me anyway] at the British Psychological Society’s Annual Conference.
There’s been other research that kinda sorta maybe showed that shooters caused aggression but those studies are a bit old and the variety of games wasn’t exactly extensive. This study used the Xbox 360, a FPS, Project Gotham Racing, and a 3D table tennis game.

Yahtzee Thinks Crysis is Pretty

Since there’s no way in hell that I will ever be able to play Crysis since my PC would cry like a bitch slapped baby and then explode into flames, I present to you Yahtzee’s review for this week. He thought the game was pretty and I like the title screen song.
