I am a big fan of 80s music so when I first heard Flo Rida’s song “Right Round” it immediately caught my attention. I still haven’t decided how I feel about people sampling 80s songs in this way (like when Rihanna
did “S.O.S”) but sometimes it comes out a lot better than others.
This track, which was produced by Dr. Luke and Timbaland, features vocals from Kesha and samples parts of Dead or Alive’s iconic hit “You Spin Round (Like a Record)” is actually pretty good. It is the first single from his R.o.o.t.s (Route Of Overcoming The Struggle) album.
There is no video for this yet that I could find but you can listen to it below. You can also check out Flo Rida’s newest track “Sugar” which is already burning up the charts.
New Music: Flo Rida “Sugar”

Flo Rida has released a new single from his R.O.O.T.S (Route Of Overcoming The Struggle) album. This song
is called “Sugar” and features Wynter Gordon. It was released on March 17, 2009 and took over the #25 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in its first week.
You aren’t going to be blown away by incredible lyrics, singing or even musicality but it’s a decent springtime song. You will also notice some elements from Eiffel 65’s mega-hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” but I find the timing on that portion is a little fast and it doesn’t match up well with the music.
Anyway, I couldn’t find an official music video for this yet but you can listen to it here:
