Back in mid-October Talk Practice’s fiery writer and Providence Friar fan, the other shammgod, guest posted here about his beloved Friars (Providence Friar Homer). It was a nice little preview of the season with some lofty expectations placed on the squad to boot.
Well, now he’s back and still making all sorts of questionable statements, but who can really blame him, because the Friars are playing splendidly right now (14-6, 6-2 in the Big East), putting points on the board with ease. 7 players are averaging more than 9ppg and no one is playing more than 29.5 min/gm. …read more
North Dakota State doubles up opponent

–The NDSU Bison scored 74 in the first half alone against NAIA opponent Mayville St. (128-64) Mississippi Valley State spends about 2 ½ games worth of time reaching 74, usually. MVSU and Mayville St. might be competitive.
–Stephen Curry LAUNCHED 15 three’s against the Sooners yesterday in a 4 point defeat. He only made 6 of them. Taking 29 shots to score 44 points isn’t the type of efficiency a team looks for from their PG.
–Bryant Barr had a lousy game, only connecting on 1-9 field goals.
–Davidson showed their explosiveness for sure. …read more
