American McGee’s Grimm – Episode 2

If you’re as cheap as I am, you hate paying for things! Even things that are lots of fun and can give you much enjoyment. I am so cheap, that there isn’t even an analogy to compare me with. That’s how cheap I am. But I do love me some adventure games and have been known to spend a few bucks here and there to get me one! So, that’s why I’m happy to announce that one of the better adventure games of this century is downloadable FOR FREE! And you don’t even have to steal it!

Yes, that’s right – GameTap is putting the grace in gracious and allowing you to download Psychonauts FOR FREE. The only problem? You can only play the free downloadable version of the game until December 31st, which should give you plenty of time to explore the psychedelic world of the Psychonauts.

Psychonauts? FOR FREE?!

Oh yes, it’s true. If you’re a fan of Doublefine’s game, Psychonauts, then you’re going to be happy to find out that you can now download it from Gametap’s site, for the low low price of $19.99. Honest! I mean, look here! I’m not even lying, even if you think I am. You jerk. I’m a bad adventure game fan and have failed to buy this awesome game so far, but I probably will now. I think I rented it from Blockbuster for like 2 weeks until I beat it. But beat it I did! Even though the last part of the game was a big pain in the ass.

What I really want to know is if Doublefine is going to come out with a Psychonauts part 2, because if they did, that would be awesome, wouldn’t it? But, alas… there hasn’t even been rumors that I have seen about a Psychonauts part 2. Unless maybe one of my faithful viewers have read something about it. ’cause if you have, you must tell me. Please tell me!

Anyways… the game is due to hit Gametap’s site on June 14th. So, buy it if you don’t have it already. And even if you do have it, then maybe you should buy it again, because then you would be a true fan. Maybe I’ll buy it twice, just for fun.

Sweet Monkeys! Psychonauts Enters Gametap’s Game List

What better way to play games than for for free? Right? Well, according to this article from Gamasutra, your dreams may finally come true! Turner Broadcasting, the people who own the luxurious GameTap (amongst many other broadcasting type companies… *coughs*monopoly*coughs*) have decided to have GameTap ad supported, starting May 31st. What does this mean to you? Well, you can play several different GameTap subscription games for FREE! All you have to do is look at the ugly banners and ads. Awesome, huh?

GameTap hopes to capture the group of people who aren’t hardcore gamers with their ad supported gaming in hopes that they can turn these people into nerds like you and me. Video games are awesome. Don’t deny them, people, because if you do, Turner Broadcasting may just start putting subliminal messages in all of our different entertainment areas, such as TV and radio, just to get you to start playing video games. And then when you play those video games, they’ll put subliminal messages in them to make you watch tv or listen to the radio. It will be a vicious cycle, but well worth it!

So, if you didn’t want to pay the $10 for the GameTap subscription, you’ve finally won against the evil broadcasting company. They have acquiesced to your free gaming. So, why don’t ya play?

GameTap Gets Ad Support

According to Adventure Gamers, GameTap has released a Mac version of Myst Online Uru Live. According to GameTap’s site, the reason for this awesomeness is a celebration of sorts. The celebration of Myst Online being… well… online for a month now.

Now, if you’re not a new member… well, don’t you worry yourself. You now have a new area that you may go and play in called Dereno, where you will freeze your flanges off, because it is an arctic region. Good thing it isn’t real life. I would hate if my flanges were to freeze off.

Want to know what else is really cool about this month of Myst Online? The website says that they are allowing new members to play online for free. That’s right! You can play now for a big fat ZERO down. Now, you have no reason to not play this award winning online adventure game.

GameTap releases Myst Online Uru Live for Mac

The day has come for what I’d guess would be the best game of the Sam and Max series. At least I hope it’s the best game. Actually every single one is the best one until the next one comes out. Anyways… If you have a GameTap account, you may play the brand spankin’ new game, because you’re awesome. And despise you, though. I just hope you know that.

It honestly feels like these episodes are coming out like every other day. I’m just not used to games coming out this frequently. It’s a lovely change of pace, if you ask me.

Only a mere couple weeks until the next game comes out on the TellTale site. Oh yes. You know… I just maybe get a GameTap account just so I can play these games early. I mean, that would be the best idea, right? Someone talk me out of it! Please!

Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die! on GameTap

If you haven’t heard by now, TellTale Games has released the next episode of Sam and Max called The Mole, The Mob and the Meatball.

If you haven’t done so already, go… buy the new episode! I hear it’s not to be missed.

Oh, so you don’t know if you want to buy it then, eh? Well, they also included a demo for all you dirty sinners.

As for me, I’ll have to wait to play until tomorrow night. There is just to much rockin’ and rollin’ going on in the Adventuress’ household. Oh, but I am ready for some Sam and Max ACTION.

Sam and Max Episode 3 is here!

According to Adventure Gamers, Myst Online: Uru received an official launch date from the oh so very wonderful GameTap. Myst is supposed to open its doors to all GameTap customers on February 15th, 2007. That’s just around the corner, my homies!

According to the Myst Online website, the first official multiplayer puzzle has been released to many an ooooh and ahhhh and they’re even making Mac users happy little campers by offering a Mac version of this awesome game.

If you’re worried about not being a GameTap member, because maybe you don’t live in Canada or the United States, don’t you worry you’re pretty little head. They’re planning on releasing a stand alone Myst Online game for Austrailia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherland, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. Try to say all those countries three times fast. I’m willing to bet you’ll pass out from lack of breath.

Myst Online: Uru receives an official launch date

It looks like we’ll be killing, stealing and gambling. Man, I love me some sluts.

WHOOPS! I MEAN SLOTS. I didn’t mean sluts! Unless, of course, they’re hot sluts.

Where else could we go to kill people, steal meatball sandwiches and work the slutmachines in gigantic teddy bear heads if we didn’t have Sam and Max. It’s unheard of, quite frankly, but because the new Sam and Max trailer premiered on TellTale’s site, the world of possibilities has been opened to us. Our eyes and our minds have been cleared.

If you, like myself, are too lazy to actually click on links to the trailer site, I’ve done ya a favor and will embed the thing here. God, how I love me some YouTube. If only they had videos of gigantic teddy bear headed mobsters massacring penguins, I’d be in heaven.

The new episode is due out January 25th, for those of us lucky enough to be Gametap members and February 8th, for losers like me without Gametap.

Trailers for Episode 3 of Sam and Max OUT!

I don’t know if any you have heard, but Uru Live has finally launched a live preview story that will be beta tested in the months to come on GameTap. According to recent update of the Uru Live site, the beta testing is doing great and it seems that many GameTap subscribers are really enjoying the new game, as there have been several news stories of people celebrating the fact that the once defunct Myst Online is now actually going to be a real game.

According to this article from CNet news, there are about 500 players testing the beta version of Uru Live, with 7,000 more people waiting anxiously for their chance to play what’s to be an awesome MMO derived from one of the best adventure games, according to many a person.
