Ahhh, summer. Why are you leaving? You said you loved me.
PAX, which I shall never get to attend because nobody wants to bring their hoity-toity game conventions to an eastern Canadian city, apparently had a great panel about getting your girl into gaming.

Step one: Stop using the term “gamer chick,” goddammit.
Kombo.com published an obligatory article about successfully picking up girl gamers. Its credibility is blown right off the bat by its preface image: a girl in “Nintendo” knickers.
