In the report, Oakes had said, “It wouldn’t be sensible to focus your accommodation website around the term ‘luxury Wynberg villa’ if there …read more

Digg About To Become Google’s Own?

Now this is yet another one of those rumors that I have found over the web. And if this rumor is real or not, I still have no idea as of now but in a story, it has been disclosed that Google is already working on acquiring Digg, one of the most popular news aggregator sites.
The report did further share that Google is just about to purchase this giant of a site for $200 million. Now that is a hefty amount of money but knowing the powers that Digg has, that amount would be just right. And it seems that …read more

There Is No Magic To SEO

If you think there is some kind of magic for SEO gurus to be able to make your site rise to the top of the rankings, then you are most certainly wrong. Google’s own search quality evaluator, Ambroise Fensterbank, said that SEO could not be done overnight. It is “a gradual process and there is no ‘magic formula’ for success”, noted Business Feet.
Fensterbank was also further noted to have discussed, “For these reasons, and because the techniques might violate our guidelines, we recommend avoiding any techniques that claim to optimise your ranking very quickly or radically.”
Now, if you are thinking …read more

A friend told me that she would do anything for a vacation in Hawaii. She said that she is just very much attracted to the lure of what Hawaii has to offer. And I believe that she is just one of the plenty number of people who have become in love with Hawaii.
You can surely imagine the number of people searching for hotels and itineraries and places to stay in Hawaii. And a company based in Canada has decided to create a search engine which would allow users to actually have an easier search of rentals for a vacation in …read more

What’s the Latest in Microsoft Yahoo Deal

I found this video in youtube. Apparently, Microsoft gave Yahoo only 24 hours to respond with the offer. I think that’s absurd. It takes quite a while for the board to discuss such things.
Nevertheless, I still wanted the deal to push through. Unfortunately I don’t have any yahoo shares. Too bad.

A couple of weeks back, the industry has been buzzing that the purchase of search-engine startup Powerset was soon going to be final. Everything was already in the process. Well, there are some times when rumors are real. Like this one which now tells of Microsoft saying that they will soon be buying Powerset.
For how much would the whole deal be done? There have been no announcements of how much the deal is going to take. Despite going through the companies’ blog entries regarding the announcement, the price has been kept secret. But, as usual, rumors have it that it …read more

Google Helps Advertisers With Their Keywords

Well, the giant of a company is not actually giving out keywords to its advertisers. That would be quite wrong. What Google is actually doing is it has just added a new tool which has been made available for its advertisers. This one would help them choose which keywords would a good one to bid on because they could see the number of people who search for them.
Google Adwords’ Trevor Claiborne, in a news item, mentioned in a company blog, “Now, when you use the Keyword Tool to search for relevant keywords to include in your keyword list, you’ll be …read more
