G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra might not have won over critics but the flick had a great opening weekend, raking in about $56.2 million in US ticket sales alone. I’d say there’s an excellent chance that Paramount is going to plan on releasing a sequel and one of the film’s stars, Marlon Wayans, is already on board.
Wayans, who plays Ripcord, said: “they will make a sequel. That’s the thing about Hollywood. They will make a sequel and sequel to the sequel and then a sequel to the sequel’s sequel. I can’t wait to do it. If it happens, that …read more

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is finally hitting theaters today after what seems like years of hearing about it. I’ve got to say that whatever optimism I had about the quality of this film is dwindling by the minute. Most critics weren’t allowed to see the movie since the studio thought it might be a bad idea (that’s a majorly bad sign!) and then what few reviews that have trickled out aren’t great.
So here’s the thing, I’ve written about this movie several times. At first I was optimistic but then my hope began to fade. Even during my interview …read more
“G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra” Video Game

The G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra video game becomes available tomorrow for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Xbox 360 and Mobile phone. From the trailer and screenshots (see below) I feel like this game (like the movie) could have been higher quality.
The product descriptions say that the game picks up where the movie (out in theaters this Friday) leaves off which seems strange to me. Hopefully, it doesn’t give away the movie’s admittedly weak plot. Players can choose from single player mode as well as a local co-op multiplayer mode.
The characters fall under three …read more

New “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” Trailer

The new domestic trailer for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was released a few days ago and, from what I can tell, it’s been met with mixed reviews. Some people think it looks great, others think it looks like a poor quality film and some others don’t really care about the quality since it looks like it could just be a lot of fun. I fall into the latter category.
Here’s the thing. I was a really big fan of the original generation of the G.I. Joe cartoon series (I can barely concentrate as I type this because the theme …read more
