Antawn Jamison Injury Update – Shoulder

Antawn Jamison isn’t starting off the 2009-10 NBA season on the right foot — or shoulder, in this case. Due to a shoulder injury, Jamison will be out up to five weeks. He injured the season during preseason when he tried to block a shot on October 14th.
The Wizards, who have battled injury woes the last few years, were expected to be one of the most improved teams in the NBA. Without Jamison, that will be much more difficult. They’ll need to keep their boat above water while he’s out to remain in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Gilbert Arenas Injury Update – Finger

Health has been a problem for Gilbert Arenas in the last few years. The point guard for the Washington Wizards has played only 15 games over the last two seasons due to a multiple knee surgeries. Unfortunately, Arenas is hurt again.
Late in the offseason, Arenas injured his middle finger — later diagnosed as a dislocation. This week during Wizards training camp, he aggravated the finger injury. As a result, he was forced to sit out scrimmages.

Gilbert Arenas Returns for the Wizards

Gilbert Arenas, who not too long ago was regarded as one of the best point guards in the NBA, played his first game of the season on Saturday night. The 27-year-old fan favorite for the Washington Wizards scored 15 points and dished out ten assists in his 2008-09 debut.
Not surprisingly, the 17-57 Wizards lost the game. However, the return of Arenas gave the team a chance. Gilbert Arenas – Barack Obama Tattoo

Gilbert Arenas has always been a little bit nutty. Combine that with a bunch of free time due to his various knee surgeries and we get the greatness that was recently revealed. Gilbert Arenas got a tattoo on his left hand to honor Barack Obama, the President-Elect of the United States of America.
According to a report out of Washington, the tattoo says “Change We Believe In” and is spread across the four fingers on his left hand. He also had the number 44 added to his pinkie, apparently to honor the fact that Obama will become the 44th President of …read more
