Glen “Big Baby” Davis already has an NBA Championship under his belt. But he wants to become an NBA All Star before he goes back to his other love: football.
The 6-foot-9, 290-pound forward for the Boston Celtics was once a standout football player in high school, but like Greg Paulus he decided to accept a basketball scholarship to LSU instead. (Paulus was rated the top high school quarterback in the country before he accepted a scholarship to play basketball at Duke University for Coach K.) Glen Davis Re-signs with the Celtics

Glen Davis, known more commonly as Big Baby, has re-signed with the Boston Celtics. His deal is worth approximately $6 million over two seasons.
Although Davis played very well last year in the playoffs, he didn’t get any big offers this offseason due largely to the fact that he was a restricted free agent. With the Celtics saying they planned to keep him, Davis decided to take a two-year deal that will allow him to be an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the contract.

Have you ever seen an NBA player start crying on the bench? If not, now’s your chance. In this Glen Davis video, you can see Davis literally start crying. Literally.
In the video, Kevin Garnett got on the reserves of the Boston Celtics for blowing a big lead. Apparently, Glen Davis didn’t appreciate the message. His crying was complete with lip quivering, bawling and even a thrown towel for good measure.
Glen Davis’ nickname is Big Baby. When you see him play, it’s difficult to understand why that’s his nickname. He’s a round bigman who isn’t afraid to throw around his body. …read more
