Google Mappers Banned from Military Bases
Google Mappers, those Google vehicles with roofmounted cameras that take photographs and information for Google Maps, was banned from Military Bases after detailed photographs of Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio appeared on Google Maps.
Obviously this has some security issues. We wouldn’t want any security information from Military Bases such as control points, guard posts, barriers and other similar information in Google Maps as these can be used by terrorists. The last thing we would want to have is another 911 and then later on find out that they got some of their information from google.

Google Exposes Secret Chinese Submarines
Google Earth has already exposed some things meant to be hidden, but this one may bring more difficulties for Google in its efforts to penetrate the Chinese market. According to researcher Hans Kristensen, Google’s recent satellite pictures show what he he believes is the first photo of the Jin-class submarine, a new class of Chinese ballistic missile submarine.
Kristensen posted the photo on his Strategic Security blog which is a part of the Federation of American Scientists’ website and added the coordinates for 6 more subs as well.
