Survey: Recession Over, Tough Times Stay

A survey released on Monday has shed light on some bittersweet revelations: while most professional economic forecasters believe that the worst recession since the Great Depression has officially ended, weak consumer spending and a struggling labor market will force economic recovery to move at a snail’s pace. The report, released by the National Association for Business Economics, shows just how complex the road to economic recovery will be.

Inflation Association Unhappy with Bernanke

Many experts around the United States and around the world have praised Ben Bernanke, who was reappointed as Federal Reserve Chairman by President Barack Obama earlier in the week, as a hero. Faced with the possibility of another Great Depression, Bernanke has been credited for taking unusual and inventive steps to keep America’s economy afloat during the recent rough financial times.
