“Halo 3: ODST” Out Tomorrow

The much-anticipated Halo 3: ODST will be released tomorrow and I’m sure there will be a lot of people waiting in line to buy it.  The events in this stand-alone game take place before the story told in Halo 3.
Nathan Fillion, who sci-fi geeks (like me) might know from shows like Serenity and Castle, provides the voice for the main character Sgt. Buck.  Gamers will see everything from Buck’s perspective as he and his team search for clues about what happened to their squad.

The graphics seem really crisp and I think the four-player “Firefight” mode looks awesome since you can …read more

R/C Vehicles Based on “Halo 3”

Halo 3: ODST comes out this fall and I know a lot of people are really looking forward to it.  I’ve got some Halo toys of my own so I’m thinking that other fans of the games might be interested in the fact that some remote control vehicles, inspired by ODST, have hit the market.
R/C vehicle producer, NKOK, has announced their fleet which includes faithful representations of the M12 Warthog LRV, M274 Mongoose ULATV, and Hornet AAV.  From the images that I was sent, I can tell you that these collectibles look pretty awesome!
The Halo R/C Vehicles will be available …read more

Pre-Order “Halo 3 ODST”

Looking forward to the release of Halo 3: ODST on September 22, 2009?  Here’s your chance to secure your copy by pre-ordering!  The title is available exclusively for the Xbox 360 and was formerly known as Halo 3: Recon, just in case you are confused.

If you don’t have the prior Halo games, don’t worry – this is a standalone expansion of the series.  The game takes place before the events of Halo 3 with players will take on the role of UNSC soldiers/Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST).  People familiar with Halo 3 will enjoy it since it offers a different …read more

Play Halo 3 With Asher Roth!

On June 24, 2009 Xbox LIVE Gold members will have the chance to play Halo 3 with up-and-coming rapper, Asher Roth.  Roth is known for transforming his MySpace page into a successful recording contract and has released songs like “I Love College” from his debut album Asleep in the Bread Aisle.
By looking at him, you can probably tell that his music isn’t about how life has been for him in the ghetto.  He explains: "[Rap] is for everybody. I couldn’t rap about the drugs that I had or the guns that I sold, but I could rap about how …read more

Halo 3: Recon – Planning Now to Have Some Free Time

I’m spinning WAY too many plates. The way I can tell is that Halo3: Recon is scheduled to come out next fall and right now I’m looking way to busy to be available to spend the required amount of time (at least 48hrs non-stop) to play this new release.
This new chapter in the Halo universe includes the following:

All-new campaign content: The Halo 3: Recon campaign is an intriguing side story that takes place during the terrifying events leading up to the Master Chief’s return to New Mombasa in Halo 3. Experience the fate of Earth from the brand-new perspective …read more

A Bit of a Halo Flashback

I had a bit of a Xbox flashback on Sunday night as I ended up meeting with a college friend and since both of us had our wives out of town we decided to take advantage of the moment and play a bit of Halo. Notice I didn’t say Halo 3. We were playing the original Halo on the original Xbox.
I was reminded and shocked by a variety of things:

there has been a real improvement on graphics since the first game
I don’t think you could jump as high in the original version
you couldn’t dual-wield weapons in the first one

Even with …read more

Grand Theft Auto IV – Did you buy it?

I’ve finally heard back from Microsoft and they let me know that they’ve been able to fix the “known issue” I was experiencing that was keeping me from connecting to the Xbox LIVE service with my Xbox 360.
The only thing I’ve really done online at this point is to play a few games of Halo 3. Just doing some basic training and team skirmishes so far. I’m really enjoying myself, I just wish I had an entire weekend to waste without feeling completely guilty for not getting anything else done.
All that aside, here’s the big question. Did you purchase …read more

Halo 3 Feedback – Jeremy Wright

My b5media CEO, Jeremy Wright, has gotten the beta invite for Halo3 and has given his initial thoughts on his blog.
1. It’s still Halo, which is good. You hop in in seconds and you’re basiclaly set.
Visit his post for the other 4 comments he made. I’m not too happy with the last one.
