Several film characters were brought to life in the 80s and became household names and Dr. Hannibal Lecter is one of them. He really represents some of our deepest fears since he was considered a brilliant psychiatrist, someone who could help people, but he was also a cannibalistic serial killer.
Brian Cox originally brought the character to life in the 1986 film, Manhunter, but it was Anthony Hopkins’ portrayal in The Silence of the Lambs (opposite Jodie Foster) five years later that captivated audiences.

Who knew that Hannibal Lecter had long-lost relatives who played soccer in Delaware?
The soccer player in this news clip (1m, 3s) did his impression of McGruff the Crime Dog on Opposite Day: instead of taking a bite out of crime, he committed a crime by taking a bite.
Huh?
To him, getting thrown out of a soccer game is apparently grounds for biting the ref who red-carded you. There’s no footage of the event but there are some eyewitness accounts and some ridiculous justification quotes from the guy and his mama.
