Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Harry Potter is taking the film world by storm…again…and the newest game, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, is doing pretty well itself.
The game was released early this month in time to grab some of the hoopla that came with the release of the movie and was released for the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, DS, PC, Mac, and mobile devices. [I'm tired just typing all of that.]
Anyway, I found four screenshots of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince for the Nintendo Wii and thought that I’d share them with you guys in case you haven’t gotten a …read more

Win a Copy of The “Harry Potter Kids” DVD!

With the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Pottermania is well underway.  I’ve seen Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron) and Emma Watson (Hermione) on basically every talk show promoting the film and the audiences really love them!
Fans of all ages seem very fascinated with their lives so you might be interested in winning a copy of A&E Home Entertainment’s recently released Harry Potter Kids.
If you love the movies, you will love watching a biography of the three main actors.  I know that I’d love to see it!  It’s always so fascinating to me to see child …read more

New Harry Potter Soundtrack!

The soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out this week so if you really enjoyed the music from the film, you should pick up (or download) a copy!  If you do download it, you might be pleased to learn that a digital code allowing CD owners to download a copy of the soundtrack in 5.1 Digital Surround Sound is available!
The score features music by Nicholas Hooper, who also composed the music for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  I will admit that these last two soundtracks have been quite different from those featured in the …read more

Harry Potter Comes to Theaters Today!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hits theaters today and I’m sure it’s going to kill at the box office!  I’ve been really looking forward to seeing this book adapted for the big screen.   This storyline is really different from the earlier ones in a lot of ways.

Hogwarts is really, really unsafe.  Some students have chosen to not even enrol for the school year.  Dumbledore knows that he’s got to prepare Harry for the possibility of a major battle with Voldemort.  They begin a disturbing journey to find the Dark Lord’s weaknesses (I’ve got the creeps just thinking about it) …read more

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

e Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will be released tomorrow and will be available on the following platforms: Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Xbox 360 and Mobile.  I’m very excited about the game (and the movie!) and I’m equally glad that the actors are lending their voices to the game.

Harry Potter and his friends return to Hogwarts for their sixth year.  Despite the threat from Voldemort and the Death Eaters, many of the students go on with their classes as usual so gamers will get the chance to …read more

2009 Summer Movie Preview

This summer, movie-goers are being treated to some incredible original movies as well as some amazing-looking sequels.  With blockbuster season already underway, I thought it might be a great time to look at what’s already out in theatres as well as what to expect in the coming months.
May was a big month this year with the release of Wolverine: X-Men Origins, Star Trek and Terminator Salvation. There was some controversy with Wolverine being leaked online ahead of its’ big-screen debut but that didn’t seem to deter fans – a sequel to the film is already in the works.  Star Trek …read more

New Harry Potter Website Has launched

The official website for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has launched and, as usual, Warner Bros. has created an awesome resource (although the navigation of the site leaves a lot to be desired).
Harry Potter fans will have access to videos (three trailers!), information about the film, a photo gallery (there are a LOT of great pictures) and downloads (posters, wallpapers and buddy icons).

There is also a link to the website of the previous movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, for those that need a quick refresher.  I think that was the best movie in the series …read more

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I was one of those people who didn’t read the Harry Potter books until after they had all come out and I’ve read them all twice. One thing I haven’t done though is play one of the games.
I can only assume that they don’t suck since the games keep getting made. Then again, maybe the game makers are just trying to cash in while they can? Regardless, a new game is being released in late June and looks pretty cool.
From the release:

Compete as GryffindorTM for the HogwartsTM QuidditchTM Cup: Take on HufflepuffTM, RavenclawTM and SlytherinTM in the most exciting wizarding …read more

New Trailer for Sixth “Harry Potter” Movie

The newest trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released yesterday and it is the best one yet! We get to see more of how this incredible storyline is going to come to life and I think, from what I can tell, they have done a great job with this. I think that David Yates did an excellent job with Order of the Phoenix and I’m thrilled that he has signed on for Deathly Hallows.
I can’t wait to see the dynamics between Harry and Ginny Weasley but I’m really looking forward to the struggle Draco Malfoy …read more

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

The new screens for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince look so much like the movies that it’s a bit scary.
This multi-platform game is sure to be a cash cow for EA since just about everything that Harry Potter touches seems to turn to gold. Think of him as a Hogwarts attending King Midas.
Now, while I’ve read all of the books and seen all of the movies, I’ve never played one of the games. Maybe now’s the time to give it a try?
And the screens
