Can Weight Lifting Increase Blood Pressure?

Over the years, a lot of medical opinions change.  One of these opinions involves whether or not weight lifting increases blood pressure.  Weight Lifting actually does not increase your blood pressure in the the long run.  It actually lowers it because you have more muscle and your heart doesn’t have to work as hard.  You will increase your blood pressure in the interim will lifting weights but this is normal.  You will want to make sure not to hold your breath.
The “ideal” blood pressure is 120/80 or less and just yesterday I had mine taken and I was 120/78 so …read more

I’m in a Haze of Confusion

I’m just a tad bit confused and apparently I’m not the only one.
I wrote back in July about my discovery of Haze; I was beside myself excited about this game.
And then, Ubisoft broke my little ole heart and announced that they were pushing the game back to the fourth fiscal quarter of this year.
Now the confusion part comes in.
If you go to Playstation’s page for Haze, the release date is listed as 01/2008. Seriously, WTF?

I promise there is a point somewhere in here.
Oh. Right. Why I said that the Brits love Assassin’s Creed.
According to GameIndustry.biz, Assassin’s Creed finished in the top spot across the pond in 2007. FIFA ‘08 came oh-so-close to kicking Altaïr’s ass, but missed the mark by a measly 1000 units.
[I really don’t think that we have to worry about FIFA ‘08 topping the charts in the US.  We Yanks don’t seem …read more

The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles

I’m a bit late to the Shivering Isles party. Let’s say fashionably late, OK?
I absolutely LOVE Oblivion. It’s replay value is through the roof and I have to say that I have a special soft spot in my heart for the Mage’s Guild.
I’m the “leader” of all of the guilds, I’ve closed all of the Oblivion Gates. I’ve done it all. Well, I haven’t done it all since I can still wander around and find a cave or settlement that I didn’t know was there.
Back to Shivering Isles.
I finally got my hands on this handy dandy …read more
