The “ideal” blood pressure is 120/80 or less and just yesterday I had mine taken and I was 120/78 so if this should tell you anything it’s that more recent medical knowledge is correct. I’ve lifted weights consistently for 13 years and I have absolutely no blood pressure problems. If you’re lifting weights and think you have bp problems, look at your diet or lack of cardio for the answers.

I’m just a tad bit confused and apparently I’m not the only one.
I wrote back in July about my discovery of Haze; I was beside myself excited about this game.
And then, Ubisoft broke my little ole heart and announced that they were pushing the game back to the fourth fiscal quarter of this year.
Now the confusion part comes in.
If you go to Playstation’s page for Haze, the release date is listed as 01/2008. Seriously, WTF?
Why are you playing with my emotions like this?!
Don’t get me wrong here. I don’t want to wait until the fourth quarter for Haze [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

Why are you playing with my emotions like this?!

Don’t get me wrong here. I don’t want to wait until the fourth quarter for Haze and a January release would make me quite happy.

But, why the back and forth?

I can’t help but wonder if Ubisoft was trying to avoid other games that might have been seen as competition.

Case in point, my “boyfriend“. Then again, he does live in Australia, so maybe he doesn’t count any longer as British.
I promise there is a point somewhere in here.
Oh. Right. Why I said that the Brits love Assassin’s Creed.
According to GameIndustry.biz, Assassin’s Creed finished in the top spot across the pond in 2007. FIFA ‘08 came oh-so-close to kicking Altaïr’s ass, but missed the mark by a measly 1000 units.

Case in point, my “boyfriend“. Then again, he does live in Australia, so maybe he doesn’t count any longer as British.

Oh. Right. Why I said that the Brits love Assassin’s Creed.

[I really don't think that we have to worry about FIFA '08 topping the charts in the US. We Yanks don't seem to hold such a ravenous love in our hearts for soccer as the British.]

I have to say that I’m happy to see Assassin’s Creed do so well. This is a game that has definitely dug it’s way into a defrosted section of my heart and I’m highly interested to see what’s next for the franchise.

Lighting that changes with the time of day? Wouldn’t it be extra challenging to off a mark in the dark? [That sounded Dr. Seusesque]

We’ll see where this goes. I’ve yet to hear any whispers of Assassin’s Creed 2. Only time will tell what Ubisoft decides to do with the franchise and what they choose to improve and scrap.

I know one thing though. This promises to be a wild ride.

I absolutely LOVE Oblivion. It’s replay value is through the roof and I have to say that I have a special soft spot in my heart for the Mage’s Guild.
I’m the “leader” of all of the guilds, I’ve closed all of the Oblivion Gates. I’ve done it all. Well, I haven’t done it all since I can still wander around and find a cave or settlement that I didn’t know was there.
Back to Shivering Isles.

I finally got my hands on this handy dandy expansion and I LOVE it.

Shivering Isles was one of those rare games that I bought without reading a single review. I had already drank the Oblivion Kool-Aid; I didn’t need any convincing.

The first thing that struck me was the Matrix esque choice between dementia or mania.

I really don’t think it’s fair to force me to make such an important decision so early on, but, if I hadn’t, I would have much less to write about. [I chose mania by-the-way]

I’ll be the first to admit that I am not finished with the expansion. However, I’ve gotten far enough into it to say that there is a distinct “this is hard as hell” learning curve.

The “monsters” just seem a bit more bad ass. Not to mention [but I will] they’re scarier looking.

I have to tell you that I am a huge wuss when it comes to the “scary” parts. The Oblivion Gates almost made me wet myself and thank the gods for my superior conjuring ability. Not only does it provide me with some company [go ahead and roll your eyes] but, very few things can stand up against Xivilai.

I’m off to play more as soon as I publish this. I expect hours upon hours of missing time…Oblivion games seem to do that to me.

Updates to follow.
